simpler sites start at $500… most sites average $1500 and go up from there depending on your needs.
how long does it take?
websites can take as little as a day if i have all the elements and content for the site… most average about 1-2 weeks.
what are the steps in creating a website?
- email me for a meeting to discuss you needs.
- meeting – ideas, urls, samples, logos, current site, goals, etc.

what do i need to get started?
just an idea would be a great start… website urls that you like the feel of… logo… images… text… colors… page structure… etc.
do you provide website hosting and domain name registration?
i do have a hosting company we use… they have “green” hosting solutions… every bit helps… hosting solutions can range from $50-$150/year depending on your needs… domain names cost about $10/year… i recommend godaddy for most “domain registration”
i already have a website… can you help me update and make it better?
yes… i would love to help you update and make your current website even better than it already is.
how do i get more traffic to my website?
google adwords is a good start… it can cost $25/month to start the program but can drive a lot of traffic your way.
after the site is completed is there a monthly fee?
nope… most people send me updates monthly or bi-monthly and work on a prepaid retainer for the updating so they dont ever go over hours… most people try and budget $50-100/mo for updates and adding features to keep the site updated and fresh… you can always pay by the hour or by project also.
whats better flash or html?
it all depends on what you need out of a site… if i were doing a more “creative” or informational site i would say flash… if i needed to be able to update the site and have a blog i would say you should go with html… there are ways to use the best of both and make a hybrid website…
- example: have a flash intro on a html website or just have a full flash website and feed the blog information into it.
when do i pay?
a retainer payment of 1/2 the invoice is due when we start working together… the other 1/2 of the payment is due on a determined date before the website goes live.
what types of payments do you accept?
i accept paypal or checks
do i have to have your logo on my website?
not at all
will i be able to see who visits my website?
yes… if you like i can set up google analytics for you right on your gmail account so you can check it when you get your mail or they also have a great app on the iphone called analytics that make it really easy to stay on top of.
here is a list of things you might need to gather to get started with your website… if you dont have hosting or a domain name email me and i can set that up for you.
