Canned Food

When you’re buying canned food make sure that you’re buying canned food with a sealed top and not the pull tops… Pull top cans can be ruptured very easily and the food will be no good for future consumption so make sure you find cans that are totally sealed… ie. the standard canned food.

When I’m looking for canned food I look for anything with a lot of carbohydrates, a lot of protein, and a lot of calories. Try and stay away from most canned vegetables and fruits because they have lower calories and you will need to drink all the juices to get the full nutritional value… A lot of veggies and fruits can be found on your own in peoples yards and farms so I just stick with canned meats with more calories.

  • Tuna [Foil packets dont have a long shelf life]
  • Chicken
  • Spam
  • Beef stews
  • Chili without beans

* The reason I stay away from beans in general is they can wreak havoc on your stomach and cause some “stomach issues” to say the least… Let’s face it… You will be away from your bathroom so I would prefer not to have “stomach issues” and be looking for tree to use as a bathroom ;]
