about

background:
im a simple easy going person… i grew up in the pacific north west… i have always had a strong passion for nature and the outdoors… in my younger years i spent a lot of  time camping and hiking everywhere i possible could.

i had a lot of great photography influences in my younger years… my grandfather [floyd mauth] always carried a camera with him as he traveled across the states… my father [monty mauth] always had such a great eye for photography, composition, light and depth. i remodeled my bedroom into a darkroom when i was in high school… took my camera everywhere… rolled my own film… and had a pretty good set up…

after a bit of community college and a long journey to california with my dad… 3 years later i graduated from brooks institute of photography in santa barbara… majoring in professional photography and interactive multimedia & design.

after college i got a great job as a photo editor for wireimage in hollywood… editing award shows and other red carpet events and after parties. after my editing job i was a digital technician for markus klinko & indrani in c.a. & n.y. after that i moved on to adlink in santa monica where i was an interactive multimedia designer… a while later moved to the gas lamp district of san diego and started mauth studios.

nature and the environment:
the environment is a passion of mine that i try to make better with everyday… im always looking for progressive ways to re-use, re-duce, re-cycle and do so with as little waste as possible… a while back i saw that flash and online marketing was a great way for me to do my part everyday as my career… preventing waste in a lot of industries.

style:

i like to type in lower case with not a lot of punctuation… i prefer to use negative space in a positive way to add balance and composition to my design style… i see things simple yet sophisticated… if it doesn’t add to it i remove it… i know from experience that your work and information needs to be highlighted in a website not just added into a website… im a believer that information needs to be clear and navigation should be predictable for the viewer so they already know what to do when they get there.0

work:
im punctual, dependable, and fast… i love what i do so im pretty motivated to create what you need to the fullest… from custom work to simple work… i love working with other creative people… marketing agencies, marketing directors, artists, photographers, businesses, and corporations… i feel i’ve learned to be pretty good with criticism over the years ;)
