This is a great dipping sauce for chicken nuggets and maybe meatbals or smokies… Most people online use it on toast also.
Recipe:
- 6 cups yellow pear tomatoes
- 3 jalapeños seeded and choped
- 4 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup water
- 3-5 leaves of basil
- 3 Tbs lemon juice
• Bring water and sugar up to around 234° then add in other ingredients… Simmer low for about 2 hours… I used a masher to carefully get it to a good consistency. Will make about 8 small jelly jars or 2 pints and some change.
Water bath for 5 minutes if contents were hot when filling.
