Avoid bent neck stems on starts…

When you plant some of the larger seeds it helps to plant them right side up… Squash and mellon seeds are a good example… They have a little notch on the bottom where it was attached to the fruit… If you plant that facing down the root will just grow down and push the seed up and the leaves will pop out of the shell faster…

The 2 in front were planted correctly and the 3 in the back all have bent stems and took a lot longer to show leaves… Not sure this is the correct way but I’ve had good success with it.
