When it comes to canteens I always prefer my standard wide mouth Nalgene bottle… There are great metal canteens out there that you could probably use in place of having a coffee pot but I just really prefer my Nalgene bottle over metal containers…

• The water tastes better and you could actually sterilize water right in your Nalgene bottle as long as you don’t burn it or melt it.
•  Works great with the MSR sweet water purifier… It screws right on to the wide mouth Nalgene bottle system and you pump filtered water right into the bottle.
• They last a long time… I’ve had some for over 10 years.
• They new versions are BPA free.
• They also have a few collapsable models with the wide mouth top… 32oz… 48oz… 96oz canteens… These are great to have in a pack… Takes up less space but when you find water you can utilize the entire canteen.
